NOTE: This event is NOT taking place at our usual meeting place on Wealthy. Instead, we'll be meeting at the coworking space called the Factory on the 4th floor at 38 W Fulton–the same building as San Chez.
So for our meeting in July, we're having a hackathon! I've you've never been to a hackathon, it's pretty simple. Bring a project you want to work on or something you want to learn. At the beginning of the evening we'll each share what we're hoping to work on and start from there. Join someone you think you could help, or approach someone whose help you'd like, and start hacking!
We're hoping to have some food (maybe we could all chip in for some pizza?). BYOB.

Hackathon - Great Idea!
My "wish list" is to have one of our "Drush Masters" help me set up Drush on my Media Temple server so I can start using some of the Drush magic. I just need someone to either advise over my shoulder OR take over my keyboard. I think at one point I managed to set it up on my local machine but I need to be able to use Drush on all my client accounts.
Hopefully, I can help out in some other way at the event.

I am very very new to drupal and I'm learning as I go. I need a lot of the basics, for example:
1. difference between node, view, content, etc.
2. backing up
3. Cron?
Unfortunately I won't be able to assist anyone else with their site, but I could help with content writing!

Jane, that's a good question. No, there will not be computers. At most hackathons, it's expected that people bring their own computers to work on. I realize that not everyone might have known this. I'm sorry for not making that clear!
