Meetup @ Bangalore

Hi All,

This is Pavithra from Blisstering Solutions. We have just started our Bangalore office and are eager to meet other Drupalers and Drupal Shops here in Bangalore. Blisstering has been in the forefront of Drupal activities in Mumbai and we all are eager to get into the crowd here in Bangalore as well.

Can we have a meetup on some weekend or a Friday evening after office?
We could meet at some coffee shop or nice hangout, that will fuel our discussions and more plans.

About me - I run a startup (www.thiray.com) running on drupal (of course !) - like to get things done by customisation of drupal rather than develop a fresh module - Project Manger - 12+ years in IT

What do you do? Is Thiray your full time work or are you involved in any other work too

We are located in Koramangala. I dont think area is a problem. we hosted meetups in koramangala, KR circle, shantinagar etc,. people participated actively.

Pavithra, glad you liked www.thiray.com, thanks ! Yes, I developed thiray by getting my own hands dirty and yes, I run it full time...had a couple of other websites too on Drupal...wanna learn & share with the community and may be start drupal freelancing.

@Anil: Hope to talk to you again. Its been 2 years since we spoke ;)
@Chakrapani: Well a coffee shop is a nice place as it would set a good informal atmosphere and would put juniors from other organizations at ease. I would love to come see your office sometime. Even the Blisstering office at Bangalore is open as a venue.

So I think lets zero in on 28th July ( maybe it could become a regular thing to do on every last Saturday of every month ). Lets keep the venue open if its ok.

your concerns are valid and much welcome the comments. However, the Bangalore Drupal community is a mature community which already has a rhythm, pace and style. The community already has met up multiple times and including several juniors and seniors and even NGOs. Last we met, we had to my recall about 30 members attending !

Yes, your approach would have been valid in case we were creating a community which is not the case here. Many thanks for offering your space, we are always looking for such offers for hosting. But we had actually planned a meetup at Source N last time which we could not organize, So i am guessing the first vote to provide space goes to them

Azri has already offered space for 28th as a fall back option. You can always showcase your office on 28th Jul to the community where we can arrange for the next meet up.

Agree with chakrapani comments above. The advantage of having venues at office space is actually we can conduct sessions and gives freedom to discuss. Every time we arrange a meetup turnout will be more than 25 Members.

Since, I am unavailable for the meetup on July 28th , i cannot arrange things @ SourceN office.

@Pavitra: Thank you very much offering the Space. Can you please share the details about how many people we can accomodate at venue, do we have Projector availability @ venue so that we can conduct sessions.

Since, Blisstering is located @ heart of the city it will be ideal place for the meetup for upcoming July 28th.
