Cannot save theme settings

Hi everyone,

I have rather a big problem with one of my sites using an Omega subtheme.

Somewhere along the line, all settings have been changed in the theme so EVERY weight setting is -50, and EVERY column width setting is 1, and the grid settings are normal weight -10, narrow weight -10.

I did a core update, and some module updates, but this only affects this one site, I have 2 others also using the same core and same modules in a multi site setup.

The live site in question works ok now. As it stands, the old settings are still in use but if I were to save the theme settings, it would go terribly wrong!

I made a local copy, opened up, went to theme settings and saved and the above changes were applied (column width = 1 etc...) thus breaking the layout completely.

I have changed to a different omega subtheme, a generic one I use as a starting point, and in the settings, the same! -50, -10, column width = 1. I can only conclude that these numbers are in the database somewhere.

If I change the weight of, for example, the narrow or normal grid (to 0 and 1 respectively) and press save, I get no error, just that the settings have been updated. However, they are not, they are back to -10 and -10 respectively.

So I can't even change to a different omega subtheme. All other themes (i.e. bartik) work ok and settings are saved successfully.

Maybe if I could remove any reference to omega theme from the database, I may be able to start fresh. Building the theme again wouldn't be a problem as I have all the css and know what the sites layout looks like.

As I said though, I can't use another omega subtheme even though it's fine on all the other sites. I can only think database error somewhere.

Anyone have any idea what is going on here?

Thanks.

Sam.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I never would have guessed it was the jump menu module, this site in fact is the only one which uses that module.

You may have saved me a LOT of headaches right there. Thanks.

Sam.

edit How do you uninstall the 7.x-1.3 version completely?

If memory serves, you disable

If memory serves, you disable it and then uninstall (one of the tabs in the module admin section).

I suspect you are still going to have to reconfigure your omega theme afterwards though. (Can't remember for sure)

Hi,Indeed you don't! It's

Hi,

Indeed you don't! It's even better than expected.

I disabled module (v1.3), after that it appeared in the uninstall tab (did not appear when enabled).

Uninstalled, deleted folder. Went back to theme settings and "HIGH FIVE!", the settings were all back to as they were.

Installed v1.4, reconfigured the menu block, tweaked the css a bit:

BEFORE:

block-jump-menu-main-menu {code-here} <---(v1.3)

AFTER

block-jump-menu-m-main-menu {code-here} <--- (v1.4)

(not sure why the IDs have changed names?!)

...and hey presto, all back to normal.

Thanks so much for the help, thought I was going to be on this all day.

Sam.
