Sorry for the short notice but for those who can make it...

Come and learn about the Content Management Systems that power Jamaican Websites, such as Drupal, Plone and Wordpress.

Each presenter will have 10 minutes to present on their CMS and why they think others should consider using it. They will then field questions from the audience for 5 minutes.

Presenters will be addressing topics like:

  • Theming the CMS
  • What is needed to get started?
  • How to manage the content on a typical front page (change the banner, add new items, maybe a calendar of events)
  • Security
  • SEO
  • Social Media Integration and General Integration with other systems
  • Extensibility and Customization
  • Other (something they think is useful)
  • CMS and the Semantic Web (to demo how the CMS is keeping pace with evolving Web technology)
