Cleaning the database

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I have been experimenting with Drupal for a year now on my own website.

I loaded a module in my desktop and it worked well. When I installed on the server, many of the things did not come up. When I removed the module and reinstalled the module, it stills gives configuration with the 2 setting changes I made before deleting. (so it must be stored somewhere in the database).

I have similar problem with the feed aggregator also ("the unable to delete problem," this issue is raised in Drupal forums by many and still without perfect solution).

Any work on the database for these? How to clean deleted items from the database?

1) Try uninstalling the

1) Try uninstalling the module (Not just DISABLING the module, but going to the 'UNINSTALL' tab in the modules page and running the un-installation from there). Ideally this would delete any tables and variables it set during the installing process or while configuring the module.

2) Check the issue queue for the module on drupal.org if the issue already posted and if any one has suggested a patch or any solution

3) Finally, which is the module that you are talking about. I don't think you will be able to get much help unless you specify the module name, the specific errors that you are encountering etc
