Thanks to Sammy Spets and Synerger Pty Ltd, the rewrite of the subscriptions system has been completed.

I have created a new release for 4.7 which has been labeled at version 3 beta 1. See http://drupal.org/node/110739 for more information about all the changes.

Sammy has also started to roll all these changes into the HEAD version of E-Commerce which will be soon released as for Drupal 5 along with all the other changes that have been done for Next Release of E-Commerce.

Also we have updated the E-Commerce documentation http://drupal.org/handbook/modules/ecommerce to include all the changes in this release.

To create a final version of E-Commerce for 4.7, we need people to test the beta version of report any issues that you find. Once you have finished testing for this release I hope to have a beta release of E-Commerce for Drupal 5 for everyone to dig into.

Thanks guys! Keep up the great work!

Me's already thinking about how to upgrade existing sites... and how to contribute back some work that's been done in the past. But no matter, rock on!

Just amazing...

That this project has such strong support.
I eagerly await 5.0 release.

By the way, regarding this project, who and how should I contact the developers (how many are there?) in order to sponsor certain functionality?

Duuuuudes!

Kudos, guys!

I am just now working on a new site that can use this, so will be happy to test the 4.7 v. Thanks for all the hard work.

PaypalPro and Hosting Product

keptin-1's picture

Hello,

I would like to use the PayPalPro and Hosting Product components but apparently these are not part of the main release as the README file indicates CVS. This leads me to believe that they "live" within CVS but I am having a problem finding it. Someone willing to lend me a hand? I am assuming this code has not be validated/tested and therefore is "hidden" for the most part. I am willing to help out in this regard and perhaps help fix bugs.

Thanks!
Scott

CVS is HEAD

"CVS" is really a reference to the "Ecommerce HEAD" release.

Thanks

Many thanks, I will see what I can do with it. Would seem easier to learn the code and try to get it working rather than building it from scratch - I have a client who wants to give his clients the opportunity to pay without going through PayPal but yet at the same time does not want to spend big bucks on a merchant account.

ETA for Drupal 5.0 compatible?

Chris Gillis's picture

Hi Gordon, do you have an ETA for 5.0 compatibility? Is there anything holding you up? We may be willing to donate a small amount of money to get this ported to 5.0 quickly as it is essential for our site.

ETA for Drupal 5 version of ecommerce

Ludwig's picture

I also am very eager to get an ETA for 5.0 compatibility.
We wish to move to Drupal 5 ASAP but cannot do so until the ecommerce module(s) is ready.
We do other sites in osCommerce but would rather work in Drupal and this is our main holdup.
No pressure:-)
