Webform not sending e-mail?

Has anyone had the issue were your D7 webfrom won't send e-mails out to an e-mail that has the same domain name as the site?

The form is sending to all other e-mails fine.

For example:
Domain name is: gasmandesign.com
Web from e-mail set to: corey@gasmandesign.com

I believe this is a code issue in the D7 webform.

Please e-mail if you've have had this issue or solved it.

Thank you,
Corey

Had the same problem

A client of ours alerted us that visitors to the site were getting an error message upon submitting a form to their website. This problem needed our immediate attention but was difficult to troubleshoot until we found your post.

On the local server we were able to send emails through webform, it was just the live server that was causing us trouble.

Also, this issue is also documented here: http://drupal.org/node/364673

Interestingly, when we changed the Form: and To: email address so that it was different from the domain the website resides on the mail goes through okay.

However, as soon as we changed the To: back to the associated domain mail once again stopped being delivered.

The problem does seem to be within the Webform module.

The problem is in the server hosting the website

By default, most server configurations assume that the server is hosting both the website and the domain email. This is particularly true with shared hosting environments. Implicitly, the incoming mail server is assumed to be the website host. The outgoing mail server never really accesses the "true" MX record which points to the correct, "foreign," server.

The solution is to add MX record(s) pointing to the correct server on the server hosting the website.

I've been down this road a couple of times.

PM me if you want to discuss this further.

Mel55113 worked for me

The set up that my client has is:
domain and email through Network Solutions
shared hosting through Bluehost.

I only had the A record pointing from Bluehost to Network Solutions so the website would come up when the domain is entered into an address bar.

Using Mel55113's advice, I logged into the Network Solutions account manager and found their MX record, copy and pasted it into the Bluehost MX record. After things propagated the emails were being sent!

Thank you for the invaluable information. Saved me a lot of time.
