On August 14th, we're hosting a Drupal4Gov learning ladder at the Department of Veterans Affairs with William Brantley and Bryan Hirsch (Bryan is the locally based master mind behind the Drupal Ladder).

If you haven't heard of it yet, I highly recommend checking out the drupal ladder project http://drupalladder.org/ This is the brain child of the Bryan Hirsch and the Boston Initiative (really go read all about it). Our plan is to map out a framework for how and what we need to put together for a drupal4gov ladder, including the kinds of lessons we are going to need and try to frame out what is going to make government and drupal work well together (or rather, even better than now).

So, there's the pitch. Come on over and help us shape this ladder into an initiative that will make our lives better, easier, faster and totally bionic. Please email me for the VA (810 Vermont NW, DC) room number and conference call line. We have somewhat limited space so I need an accurate count, both in person and on the line.

Date: 14 Aug
Time: 3pm - 6 pm

I'm excited about this initiative, because it's more than just working together to share and contribute to drupally goodness, it's community goodness. So come on, drop me a line. kirsten.burgard2@va.gov

If anyone on has a Drupal project (a site, module, theme, or install profile) you hope to reuse across internal projects, across government agencies, or to be open sourced, can you please email Bryan ASAP bryan.hirsch@acquia.com

He's trying to prepare some things for the discussion, and this would be helpful to get a sense of the people and projects we'll have in the room.

Finished projects AND works-in-progress, small or large all count.
