This month we had one demo on exporting content from a Drupal 6 site as a CSV file.
We started the meetup talking about the upcoming DrupalCamp South Florida on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Nova Southeastern University. We also asked our users to go to the home page of the website to fill out the short survey: http://www.DrupalCampSFL.com
We spent most of the meetup talking about exporting content as a CSV file from a Drupal 6 site. We had a joint demo from several of our original Broward Drupal members (Hector @hectoriribarne (http://iribarne.com), Jay @jeppy64, Chris @chillin411 and Phil @siliconvalet) continued his series on beginner Drupal theming. The following topics were discussed during the demo:
- General discussion on site migration strategies
- Views Data Export module for creating a CSV file
- Cloning the view of content to be exported, adding a Data export Display, and configuring it to create the CSV file
We had four remote participants via Skype/Join.me and thirteen in the meeting room. The rest of the meetup was spent answering everyone's questions on the projects they are working on.
