Another Party meeting!

I thought I'd book this one in earlier so we people can plan things around it. Party development is going at full swing.

Feel free to say if we should do this meeting at a different time in the future from now on if fridays don't quite work for you.

Just a reminder that there is a party meeting at 3pm UK time :D! We'll just discuss what has been going on possibly with the event booking system.

Meeting Highlights

Had a bit more of a turnout this meeting with freelocke, captaindav and davidspencer joining yautja_cetanu, rlmumford and andrewbelcher.

We discussed a booking system based on commerce called Commerce_booking http://drupal.org/sandbox/rlmumford/1800812. This is heavily built on top of commerce with an architecture explained in the issue queue and its aim is to provide an incredibly flexible booking process using commerce checkout. Freelocke talked about his past experience with this stuff for Drupal 6 sites.

Rlmumford discussed his project module found here: http://drupal.org/sandbox/rlmumford/1572066 and how it uses entities and replies to rebuild something similar to d.o's issue queue stuff using entities. We're going to be watching the official d.o module to see whether or not we can use that but it seems some form of task tracking will need to work with the party module.

Captaindav talked about his need for better permissions in party and how that was the next thing in his mind. This issue is found here: http://drupal.org/node/1790294

Finally David Spencer briefly discussed his work with openpublic and whether or not they should use Party instead of Profile2 (though party actually works with profile2). He talked about his continued plans to work with community associations.

Next meeting at 19th of October so would be great to see more of you there!
