Do any of you have any successful case studies or advice for creating a membership management & payment system within Drupal for a nonprofit association?
Please shoot me an e-mail if you have any thoughts on this:

CiviCRM?
A lot of nonprofits like to use CiviCRM both as a CRM for their members and to collect dues, etc. We manage a few CiviCRM based Drupal sites, including some in the Twin Cities.

We've used CiviCRM
We've used CiviCRM extensively and is the only real full featured CRM available. We don't support or use it any more and we're migrating all of our client away from it. IMHO there really is no good CRM solution any more. Civi is huge, bloated, slow and hard to use, even after 5 yrs of experience with it.
RedHen
ThinkShout's been hard at work on a native Drupal CRM, RedHen, with a membership component geared specifically for this use case. Let us know if you have questions!
