Thanks, Katy, for your great idea of raising our student loan help-site as a sprint project! The timing is great, since we're trying to prepare for our morph into Student Finance 101.
I don't have a vehicle, but would throw gas and ferry money in the pot if there's a seat available.
A van would be fun - and wouldn't it be cheaper than individual car ferry payments?
Van-pooling is a great idea
Yes, taking a van load to Victoria is a great idea. We could pick up Vancouver people at the King George (Surrey) Skytrain station and head out to the Tsawwassen ferry. I would like to arrive in Victoria on Sept. 10th in time for dinner with the Victoria Drupal folks.
I checked out some accomodations. The Traveller's Inn can give us a discount rate for 5 rooms - 2 persons per room. Each room has 2 King size beds, free wifi, movie channels. This location at 2898 Douglas St. is 5 min drive from Northstudio. Discount rates for group of 10 are $89.95 per night for 2 King size beds.
Last year some people stayed at Accent Inn at 3233 Maple Street which is very close to Northstudio. Rates are $99/night with 2 Queen size beds per room.

Need accommodations for drupalcamp Victora? I recommend the Accent Inn at 3233 Maple Street. It's walking distance to Northstudio and close to the bus stop. The number to call is 1-250-475-7500. This week the website (www.accentinns.com) says it's $109.00 CAD per night for Deluxe room with 2 Queen beds. Comes with Cable TV, fridge and wireless Internet.
Use your BCAA card to get 15% off. ($104.00 per night for Deluxe 2 Queens) And you can also collect Save On More points. Wahoo!
I'm planning to go over on the 3 pm ferry from Tsawwassen. Any one want to meet me on the ferry?
There's an Express bus #70 that leaves every half hour from the ferry and arrives at Accent Inn in 30-40mins.

Hi all, I'll be taking a car
Hi all,
I'll be taking a car over on the ferry, and i'm also planning to stay at the Accent Inn (stayed there last year, no complaints). So i'd be able to take some people from the ferry to the hotel.
I might need to take a later ferry than the 3pm though. It all depends on my work schedule.

But since you weren't sure you could make the 3 pm ferry (work schedule) I wondered what ferry would be the most likely one for you.
