Problem with notifications and taxonomy terms

Hi Guys,
Sorry I missed the meetup in september, been too busy recently! I'll be sure to try and make it to the next one.

I'm trying to make a custom subscription that uses a taxonomy term to filter the content that is subscribed to.
When creating the subscription - I add the field type : 'Taxonomy Term' and then try to add the value of one of my taxonomy terms - I have many.
It rejects everything I try - See attached screen shot. I've tried terms and term-ids, nothing is accepted.

Have posted an issue to the notifications module page but no response.

Does anyone have any experience with notifications (in drupal 6) or managed to achieve what i'm trying to do?
