BADCamp Swing Party!

Are you going to BADCamp? Do you like to Swing Dance OR think you might like it after an easy lesson? The lessons are simplified version of Lindy Hop, with about half as many steps.
Or, perhaps you want to just drink and hangout and watch the rest of us!

A bunch of us did something like this in Asheville NC a few months ago and it was a BLAST!

I was working in the Bay Area all last week and I made some time for fun. As you may recall, I am a DJ on the social music scene at TurnTable.FM Specifically I really enjoy the BoomSwing Cabaret over at http://turntable.fm/boomswing_cabaret were we play swing music remixed with a heavier downbeat PLUS loads of original music inspired by swing. I was as shocked as any one to discover that this genre exists much less that it has artists currently pumping it out and a huge following to boot.
Anyway...
I told my BoomSwing friends that I was going to be in the Bay area and one invited me to a swing club where he would be spinning. I joined him last Thursday and had a BLAST! The very music I've been enjoying for many months was being played while some very talented dancers were Swinging it!
I told them 2000+ nerds would be in town in a few weeks and they invited us over!

I know I'll be there and I'm wanting to bring as large a group as possible!

Logistics
The gig is 15.5 miles away from BADCamp. If we take a minivan taxicab we can get 5 ppl per van and it might cost $6 or so bucks per person.
8:30 is the beginning swing class [OPTIONAL] and it lasts about 45min.
9:30 is when the dance floor opens up to everyone and the real Swing-Time begins! We all have a Camp to go to the next day so I expect we'll be busting out at 11:30 or Midnight depending on how adventurous we all get.
$5 gets us in the door wether you come for the 8:30 class or just show up for the 9:30 open floor.
There is a CASH BAR on the premises If I find that we're going to bring a group then I'll coordinate to make sure that the bar is well stocked.
Wear what you want to wear but know that some people get quite dressed up for this. Durring my visit I saw some variations of Steam Punk atire and some traditional Ball Room dress. Of course, there was plenty of casual ppl as well.
