gdo basic questions

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Hi, I have a couple of questions about gdo best practices as a "user"...

  1. ical feeds. It looks like whether I go to the main g.d.o. calendar or click the calendar icon within a specific group I get the same URL (http://groups.drupal.org/ical). So if in my email client (currently evolution) I want to display events just from one group what is the URL?

  2. As I'm joining more and more groups (and subscribing for email notification more frequently), I'm finding it very difficult to establish filters in my email client to direct emails from a group to a folder. Example...

    • I'm signed up in the NYC group.
    • Someone posts a message in the India group, but cross posts it to NYC group. I receive that as a notification (good), but there is no way to tell in the subject, headers or body of the notification email that I'm getting this via my subscription to the NYC group. So all the emails I'm receiving as crossposts end up sitting in high volume in my inbox mixed together. Anyone have any tips for how they organize their gdo notification emails in their email clients? Do I have to go to using a digest format instead just so I can see how these posts came to me (I usually hate digests)?

Thanks.

  1. known bug on groups.drupal.org. it is in the webmasters issue queue

  2. we had a great headers system before we switched to Notifications module. i'm sometimes tempted to roll back and have OG module use own notifications again. in the meanwhile, perhaps we can tweak the mail templates to help with this. how do others handle this?
