In taking a look at the contributed Event module, I noticed that its latest release is 4.7.x-1.x-dev. I also noticed that g.d.o's About page does not list the Event module.
What does g.d.o use for its members to post events? If it does use the Event module, how is that possible since g.d.o runs on 5.x and the Event module is still 4.7.x?
Thanks,
Walt

By looking at the event issue queue it seems that event module could need some more maintainers. 15 pages of issues are far too many.

event.module
there is a D5 version. consider asking the maintainer to add a release node for it.
i have a desire to use CCK and date fields instead of event.module but i haven't implemented that yet.
Interesting - create events using CCK and the date module
I see Karen mentioned last month that one can create events using CCK and the Date module:
To create events, is using CCK and the Date module the preferred method over using the Event module?
I see the following:
Date module has a 5.x-1.2 version, released on Feb 1, 07.
CCK module has a 5.x-1.3 version, released Feb 1, 07.
Event module has a 4.7.x-1.x-dev version, released Jan 31, 07.
Thanks in advance to everyone for your feedback!
