Before we pull the trigger
Before we pull the trigger and begin fund raising, working on the website, etc. it would be great to know if the GLADCamp name (short for Greater Los Angeles Area Drupal Camp) is what we're going with.
I've heard nothing but good things so far, but that's just been what I've heard in person from others. What does the larger community think? How do you think the name affect our upcoming branding and marketing? Please discuss.
Just an FYI
I quite like GladCamp when you consider it against BadCamp.
However, I think its important to realise that "GLAD" is more commonly used for the "Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders" group, which might not be ideal. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gay_%26_Lesbian_Advocates_%26_Defenders

It looks so far like the majority of folks like the name.
Do you think that having "GLAD" in the name will be confusing in any way? My thought is that these two communities are separate enough that they can each use the name and not be in conflict.
That said, I do think our DrupalCamp will be fabulous!

EDIT: Incidentally, the bar chart looks curiously broke to me on Chrome beta/Linux (I think by the profile photo?) - all the "Yes" votes are listed as "No" on the bar. If this happens for others we may want to report on the g.d.o issue queue.

All in all, I thought this was an interesting poll. More people said by an overwhelming margin that they like the GLADCamp name. About a quarter of those who voted said they didn't like it or weren't sure.
