Investigating RULES

Let's try this again!

Last month we had some bad weather and a few mixups, so the meeting ended up at the Winchester. For the January meetup, we'll take another run at RULES for those who missed the last meeting.

So, join us Monday night at the Community Media Center for our monthly Drupal meeting. The location is just a few doors down from the Wealthy Street Theater.

We'll discuss Rules--Drupal's module that allows site administrators to define a series of conditionally executed actions on their website through a user interface. Rules allows you to configure different events that will be executed whenever certain conditions are met. Rules is simple; rules is complex. You can do all kinds of things--but we'll begin with a simple explanation.

We'll have a short presentation, but if you use Rules, bring an example and show us how it works!

As usual, we'll meet at the Winchester down the street afterwards.

Update: I won't be able to attend the meeting on Monday night, but Tyler (steimlet) has agreed to be there and kick things off on some topic he chooses or topic that comes up in the group.
