Yes, I know, traditionally, it's supposed to be spent with family, but for a lot of us who aren't with their families this mid-autumn, why not spend it together?
On the evening of Oct. 3, we will be bringing picnic blankets, finger foods, drinks, wine, beer and chilling it out at the Deep Water Bay on the south side of HK island.
My friends have all been asking, what are these CS Drupal people like? This seems like a great opportunity to introduce you to them.
So mark you calendars, and if you want some great, easy-going and laid back company on the brightest evening of the year, come and join us. There will be music, lanterns, candles and of course, great company. Bring your pois, devil sticks, glowsticks, juggling balls, and whatnot. And if you want to brave a splash in the water, bring your swimmers (every year, there's always a few nutters that do). [Special HKDUG addendnum: no guys, there is no WIFI at Deep Water Bay]
Why Deep Water Bay? Because it's accessible and yes, there will be a number of people there (families, groups of friends) which all just adds to the terrific atmosphere.
Here's the plan. A few of us will be staking a claim and planting our flag early (leaving central at around 8pm) to make sure we get a nice spot on the beach (there might be a pre-beach un-party party at my place before for the early birds, watch this thread for updates).
Then people can come and go as they please. Things should start going in full swing at around 9ish.
If you will be having dinner with your families that night, then you are most welcome to come late.
So come, bring snacks, bring drinks, bring candles, bring toys, bring friends and all your interesting stories. And if someone brings and plays a guitar, maybe I will even sing ;) And don't forget your cameras, coz you will want to remember this night.

Scouting detail: 8pm at Central, then we leave for Deep Water Bay to find our spot.
Everyone else: come around 830 to 900pm.
