Drupal of Miami Workshop March 2, 2013
Saturday, March 2, 2013 12:00 Noon
At this workshop we will be discussing how to find out if Drupal is right for you, how to get the information needed for your site, how to select a development method, and how to keep a clear expectations as you proceed building your site.
What kind of site are you trying to create? This question is necessary because you must know the purpose of your site. This would be knowing the if your site is a learning management site, brochure site, e-commerce site or something else. Knowing the purpose of the site allows you to focus on just what you need to to meet your site requirements.
The method you are going to use for your requirement-collection process development has an influence on your decision. The requirement-collection method will determine when you should collect the requirements and at what level of detail will vary.
Your design plan along with your requirements help you to:
Confirm that Drupal is the right solution for you.
Create a basis for a request for proposal from Drupal vendors.
Establish and maintain clear expectations with your team.
Select a development method.
Minimize the risk that the site won't be what you need it to be.
Come and join the fun.
