We are planning a Drupal meetup for April 5th 2013 @ 6:15pm. The location will be in the lecture room on the School of Computing and Information Technology (SCIT) at UTECH. @Rasumo will be presenting on creating RESTfull services to support mobile applications. All interested persons are invited. Further details will be posted in the comments below.

I updated the event location info, the room is not by TIC, it is actually in the lecture room on the School of Computing and Information Technology (SCIT).

Just a quick update on the plan for the meetup this Friday.

The presentation:

Get some REST: Powering mobile apps with a RESTful back-end

What will be covered:

  • What is REST
  • REST vs SOAP
  • What does REST have to do with mobile apps
  • Setting up Drupal as a REST back-end
  • Request and sending data from an app

If you think anything else should be added let me know and I'll see if I can squeeze it in.
