Hello all,
Does anyone have any experience integrating with Raisers Edge and Drupal - with, or without the API?
Cheers,

Hi Jon,
Not much help, but I'd be very interested to hear how you get on. We currently have a client who uses Raiser's Edge. Due to budget constraints, we are planning to just link their fundraising section away from their Drupal site to Raiser's Edge, which isn't ideal.
Any simple integration would be a bonus, particularly if we can get events in Raiser's Edge to automatically populate our Drupal Events system.
Cheers,
Alex
Lucky you....
There's not much out there, some key findings (which may be out of date now) are:
1) The API can be used by PHP but requires COM objects so needs to run on a windows host.
2) You can perform direct reads (i.e. bypass the API) from RE's MSSQL database but there is a chance the structure may change in newer versions and upgrades. You cannot write to the db.
You may have already read:

There is also a (really well commented :)) PHP code sample here from Blackbaud themselves:

Enjoy....
