An automated approach to RTL support

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

As some of you may know, many (most?) contrib modules and themes only have partial or no support for right-to-left languages. Core is ok now, but it too can have problems sometimes (Seven admin theme took 8 months to become usable for RTL sites after D7's release).

So, I've been working on this thing which is meant to automate away the work involved in supporting RTL languages. It's not perfect by any means but I think the results are now good enough to post here.

Currently it only works with Drupal 7 and might require a Linux development machine (I haven't tried it on anything else).

All the details and of course, the code are at https://github.com/yonatan/rtl-toolkit

Select an RTL language, then enable/disable the RTLx module to compare it with the default RTL system.
