I'm posting this discussion real quick to capture some of the discussion we had at the FISMA/NIST discussion today.

We talked about possibly utilizing howto.gov as the receiver from some type of collection of modules and core versions that have been accepted within the U.S. Government.

There was also discussion of some of the existing solutions for tracking updates and information as it relates to code.

Essentially, a system where one agency vets some pieces of software, publishes this, along with a point of contact so that other agencies can use this information instead of duplicating effort.

I'm sure I've missed something, so feel free to weigh in. We probably should eventually capture some of this within a wiki too.

Thanks!

Thanks for the update. I'd seen a "Drupal4Gov closeout" BOF listed, which conflicted with two other sessions I was compelled to attend. Any word on what that was about? Is Drupal4Gov going away?

Not going away

We were just closing out our DrupalCon sessions. I don't think this group is going away anytime soon.

Closeout

Thanks Kevin for noting what "closeout" meant.

Yes, it was just a closeout for the week. Those boards didn't give me enough space to write everything I wanted to say!! That was probably a good thing.

Just a minor kind of drupal geeky girl and for the US government no less!
