Mobile Money integration with Drupal

Dear All,

As Uganda Drupal Addicts, we thought of giving back to our community and also contribute to the Drupal community too.

We looked at different ideas and the most demanding yet no available solution is the Integration of Mobile money payment with Drupal. Below are some of the discussion by our brothers in Kenya on the same idea.

With this, you may wonder as to why we as Ugandan's also have to look into the same issue. But the reason is simple:
- We have got different service providers.
- Also policy issues are different. In Kenya they already have Mpesa API, for developers to utilize, Here we have no API to any Mobile money service.

We would like to hear your views on this, and we can also use your response to demand for an API from our leading service providers. i.e MTN, UTL and ZAIN.

Hi there, am glad i could meet a Ugandan on a kick for drupal. as regards Mobile money APIs, I am actually in need of one. i know that Jolis is some kind of MM API but am not sure how it works. have you checked out jpesa.com. am not sure how it exactly works but i have kinda explored its interface and it claims to promise such functionality.

However it would be a huge contribution if someone could a module for drupal for Mobile money transactions. we really need this

Am interested in developing the integration for Drupal 8

Hi, has there been a solution to this request? If not I would want to develop the integration for D8. Is there someone who can link me up with the various companies MTN, Airtel so that l can work hand in hand with them to develop this integration.
