Need a reason to be at the next St. Louis Drupal User's Meetup?
Here's one: Spry Digital, a St. Louis-based web shop that's turned out some amazing local sites (Llywelyn's Pub) will share more about how they use Drupal and discuss a recent project involving the Gateway Off-Road Cyclists Association.
Need another one? This month we'll take another look at a few videos from the Drupalize.me library. Drupalize.me has graciously given Drupal user groups access to their entire video library during meetups. We've had a request for theming so we'll probably focus on this series. Feel free to recommend any videos you'd like to watch.
Still need a reason...okay, what's wrong with you? :) Chris Shattuck from Buildamodule.com has gifted our group with a gift card for access to their expansive video of tutorial videos. From setting up your local dev environment, to content management, to coding custom modules, Buildamodule has some great tutorials that would help anyone looking to learn more about Drupal. This will be an attendance drawing so you have to be present to win (no purchase necessary, all rights reserved, void in Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico).
Here's a link to the Google doc that I've set up for this meetup. Feel free to add your own notes/comments during and after the meetup.
Coming for the first time?
Whether you're an experienced Drupaler, or you just heard about Drupal from a friend, our meetup aims to be a place where people from all backgrounds can come and learn more about various topics related to Drupal (Module Development, Themeing, Development Environments, etc), network with other Drupal professionals and hobbyists, and get support with various issues of their own. We usually start things of with introductions, followed by any planned (or sometimes unplanned) presentations, and then Q&A/wrap up. Some bring a laptop, others bring pen & paper, but everyone typically comes with a desire to learn, help others learn, and help Drupal continue to grow.
Where: Missouri History Museum Millstone Classroom 5700 Lindel Blvd St. Louis, MO 63012
Time: 7pm-9pm
Directions:
Missouri History Museum
(At the intersection of Lindell & DeBaliviere in Forest Park)
5700 Lindell Blvd
St. Louis MO 63112
Millstone Classroom on the second floor
Parking is available on either the east & west lots (although the entrance is on the west side so I'd park there). Enter through the door by the loading dock, past the security desk and through the hall, and up the stairs straight ahead to the second floor. As soon as you come up the steps to the second floor, make a right and the Millstone Classroom is just opposite the men's restroom down the hall.
IF THERE IS NO OTHER EVENT GOING ON THAT NIGHT THE FRONT DOORS WILL NOT BE OPEN!!!

Miss out again
Hi Eric and everyone. I'm going to miss out on this one, and future ones. We are moving back to our hometown next Friday. Its been great getting to know you and everyone else who's come to these. I've learned a lot the past year while here in St Louis.
Just wanted to remind
Just wanted to remind everyone that we're still on for tonight. When I got here, security let me know that they turned someone away because they thought our event was cancelled (there's another event that was cancelled but ours is still on).
See you soon!
