Dj Editing Program Page? Also I may have a job for you

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I've got Station installed, and part of it up and running. It was my understanding that the DJ associated with a particular program was able to Edit their own program page? I logged in as one of the dj's, went to their program page, but didn't see any sort of edit option...am I missing something simple?

ALSO: I am an Americorps volunteer assigned to a community station in Dallas. I'd very much like to get the stream/ripping/archive features going, but it is beyond my ken. If there is anyone who would like to take on this job for me, I'd be willing to pay a fair price for the work.

Fix ownership and permissions

I've Drupaled for a while now, but am new to Station. With any other page I would just change the owner to be the DJ account and make sure the DJ role or the Authenticated User role has permission to "edit own" page.

Edit -> Authoring Information -> Authored by

to set the owner of a program, and

Admin -> User Mgmt -> Permissions -> station_program -> edit own station program content

to allow any DJ to do that. I'd look at DJ role permissions for other permissions, too.

Oh, no idea on the streaming stuff (yet.)

the Station module and streaming

mickaleen's picture

Me and my partner in crime want to set up an internet radio station. We want to use drupal for the website and also for managing the recorded material library. We also want to use one of the open source radio automation suites and have it all play together with the actual streaming. Most likely we will use Icecast in the first instance. The main additional feature that we're looking for (which there was some discussion of some time ago) is the automatic logging of everything that gets played (for royalty purposes, etc.).

I know that there are lots of drupal members who have internet radio stations up and running but before I dive into the Station module documentation I was hoping that somebody could give me some ideas about how to set this all up as indicated above (since I'm new to drupal). I'm absolutely sure that somebody has done what I've outlined above already.

I would just like to point out that we are a non-profit organisation, intend to stay that way forever and have very limited resources.

'd be very grateful for any hints, pointers, URLs, etc., in fact anything of relevance. My apologies in advance if this has already been covered in the forums somewhere but if it has could someone please point me to it. I'm very new to all of this.

Thanks to all very much in advance,
Mickaleen
