Welcome to India with VoIP Drupal!

The VoIP Drupal team has been pretty busy over the past 4 months! Now we are very excited to announce major updates that have been incorporated into the new 7.x-1.0-beta5 release. Among other things, we

  • added new voices to the VoIP Twilio module. From now on, your Twilio applications can talk in Catalan, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, German, English, Finnish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish!

  • changed the way VoIP Drupal handles voice recordings. The VoipScript->addRecording() API has been modified to asynchronously copy recorded files from VoIP providers to the local Drupal server. With the use of a new optional callback mechanism, VoIP Drupal can now handle long recordings without holding users on the call while the recorded file is being processed. Check the VoIP Script Samples module to see how that works!

  • added support to KooKoo (http://www.kookoo.in/), one of the largest VoIP providers in India. With the new VoIP KooKoo module, VoIP Drupal developers can now get local phone and SMS numbers all around India! The module even reads text in Benagali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Tamil and Telugu!

Please try the new functionality and let us know if you have any questions or comments, ok?

Happy calls,

== the VoIP Drupal team

does drupal voip 7 includes modules?

sajosh's picture

hello, some drupal voip modules don't have v7. is that because drupal voip v7 has them in the 'module core'?

For example the following don't have a v7 downloads ...

Does that mean they are included in drupal voip v7? or does it mean that I should use drupal voip v6 to have that functionality.

Sorry for asking on this thread instead of a new thread but i'm not a member of the group yet.
