Hi,

I work for Playground Ideas, an international non-profit, and live in Seattle. We design and build playspaces to improve the education, wellbeing and safety of the world’s most disadvantaged children; and we support and train others to do the same. Our website has free, open source resources for playground design and building, as well as over 150 simple DIY elements anyone can download instructions for and build themselves.

Our website (www.playgroundideas.org) was built on Drupal. We have recently been experiencing some problems with its functionality. Our nonprofit has a very small staff size and is largely run by volunteers. We are looking for a volunteer in the Seattle area with Drupal experience who is interested in working with us to make our site more user-friendly.

I am very new to the Drupal community. Is this the best group or event to advertise this opportunity?

Thanks!

Elizabeth Moreno

Hi Elizabeth,

You might submit this work for an internship or a capstone project at the Information School at the University of Washington (http://ischool.uw.edu/). Mike Crandall would be a good contact there (mikecran@uw.edu). I am an alumni, you can certainly let them know I sent you that way if you like.

Good luck!

SeaDUG meetings

The meetings are ordinarily held on the third Thursday of every month. Occasionally, it will need to be adjusted, if our meeting space is otherwise spoken for on that day. That's what happened in October. November's meeting will be on the 21st and an event announcement will be posted soon.
