Drupalcamp Ghent 2009 is a free conference organized by the Belgian Drupal Community where you can meet fellow Drupallers, spread your Drupal knowledge and learn from others.
DrupalCamp Ghent is open for Drupal users, developers and groupies from Belgium and elsewhere. (There is only room for 100 people so register asap.)
Almost all presentations will be in English so everyone is able to participate.
Drupalcamp is an unconference-style Drupal gathering full of trainings, presentations and codesprints, in the style of barcamp. While there are some differences (DrupalCamp does more pre-planning on the sessions), they have the common goal of bringing smart people together in an environment that is accessible to everyone.
This generally means that you will have a lot of very smart people in a small space who have all come there with something to share and a desire to learn. Since this is a free and cheap event and on a weekend, we also get to welcome folks who can’t usually take the time or money to go to commercial conferences. So it’s a lot of fun with fresh faces.
This Drupalcamp will put special emphasis on Open Atrium with sessions about features, spaces en feeds.
It will also include a two-day (probably Open-atrium related) codesprint.
About Ghent
Ghent is the intellectual capital of Flanders region. It offers beautiful medieval architecture, one of the worlds most intriguing paintings, the world's best beer, fine food and a vibrant night life. Unfortunately the packed Drupalcamp schedule will leave you no time to enjoy any of that.
Ghent Beerhouse you wont't be able to visit.
