Hi all!

We'll meet for the November SCDUG at 7pm on Tuesday November 5th at Nextspace.

Jen Lampton will be with us to discuss Backdrop which is controversial but we can all be warm and welcoming and have an open mind even if you think Backdrop is a "bad idea" :)

Hopefully we'll have time to chat about what happened at BADCamp too including fun Drupal 8 stuff!

Thanks Kristen for arranging this. It's great news that Jen Lampton is coming. Backdrop is a great idea that will be successful because it meets the needs of a great many small and medium size customers that don't want to overhaul their websites after D7. Drupal 8 will be successful as well in its own way. Forks happen, one size doesn't fit all.

Wisdom of the Bees

let me share a little parable and maybe that resonates with the Backdrop story

After a few months, we became complacent, and stopped worrying and assumed the bees, in their hives, where good for the winter. Everything was going just fine. Better than we expected.

We kind of forgot about the bees, and left them alone while we got busy ourselves building our own home
