Hi,
Better you go for shifting your website/application to another server having php5 and mysql5.
Ask to you hosting company , they will shift your application to php5 supporting server rack.

It is better to shift to new server. bcoz many of drupal features and modules requires PHP 5.
It is also a better option while considering the future upgrade use of site.

Yeah, You are right.

But I done like you said, but my hosting team says, I will provide you a fresh new account, and u have to take backup of old server and upload it to new server.

so it's risky.
so we afraid about to shift from new server.

Backup and restore

Swatee,

Backup and restore should not be an issue. If you are switching servers, make sure you lower your TTL's before you change your 'A' record.

What kind of server is it? - Shared ? VPS or Dedicated?

If you are having VPS or Dedicated box, it may be challenge to duplicate the environment like installing libraries and tuning the hardware but if you are on shared server, this should not pose lot of issues.
