Newbie Taipei question...
Hi,
Perhaps an obvious question but will the presentations be in English? I'm moving to Taipei soon and would love to plug into the Drupal community but have yet to work on my language skills outside of English.

The address is 台北市松江路69巷5號 and it's translated to Song Jiang Rd, Lan 69, No. 5, Taipei.
Well, the presentation will be in Chinese but the PPT will be done in English (since yours truly doesn't know how to type Chinese very well). There are a few people who I believe that only speak English will be attending the meetup including my husband, John Wilkins (Drupal ID: JohnAlbin) and a C-NET Asia reporter, Spencer.
On another node, JohnAlbin had done some Drupal presentation in English in Taiwan. He has the benefit of having a wife speak Chinese somewhat (I would say my Chinese is moderate). So, I have been translating his presentation into Chinese.
Please feel free to come to the meetup. I think we can make sure you are taken care of. :-)

It would be super to generate
It would be super to generate some discussion and interest around DrupalCon Asia-Pacific and brainstorm ideas for resources to host it in Taiwan. :)

I think all of us who are in Taiwan would very much like the same thing too. Since I am bilingual, I think it would be easier for us to accomplish this goal. I know someone from a government sponsored non-profit open source organization is going to be at our December meetup (don't quote me on the title of this person, I am still trying to figure out how to translate where he works and what his job function is) I think I can approach him to see if it's possible to get some grant to host a DrupalCon.
I hope to have something to report early next year as we are planning for this towards to the end of the year.
