First 2014 social (and going forward??)

Although technically first Monday of the month was New Year day, I assume nobody met up then?

I can't attend this one and will probably be a bit sparodic for the next couple of months, I will still be pushing the Twitter account though and proposing a possible web-site as a focal point.

Wondering if we need to keep posting events here for social meetups and how to do that? Possible to block post a whole bunch.

It only really works though if people are prepared to either comment and/or commit to attending (both methods of participation are usually much lower than the number who actually turn up).

It must be hard for someone new to know whether to make the effort as there could be anything from 1 (perhaps even 0) to 20 people attending.
