Sorry about the short notice, but if anyone's still not busy this weekend, we're holding our second annual event for the National Day of Civic Hacking. It will be hosted at The Nerdery in Bloomington. Tickets are selling out on Eventbrite, but we'd still like to make sure we have a full house.
The event is called Hack for MN. It's a hackathon supported by local, state, and national government and community organizations. Agencies from NASA to the EPA have contributed challenges to work on. The hacks range from web, mobile, hardware, and social.
There are huge opportunities available for participants. Last year, one of our more successful teams, OMG Transit, was invited to present at the White House and to attend an Intel-sponsored civic hacking accelerator program. The University of Minnesota's CURAtech accelerator program is also paying teams to advance great civic hacks.
The cost of our event is free and there will be free food, drink, and door prizes. Hackathon teams compete for celebrity mentorships from CTOs and CIOs here in town.

Drupal & Hack for MN
I'm going to be there. Just registered last night.
I'd love to find some folks interested in doing a Drupal project. Last year, I got very involved in an interesting project with a great group of developers - but, I did not get a chance to flex my Drupal muscles.
If you are interested in open government or open data AND Drupal, please let me know. Especially if you plan on participating in Hack for MN.
