This month at the Berkeley Drupal Users Group (BDUG) we'll be talking about Behat, a behavior-driven-development (BDD) tool that lets you write human-readable stories that describe the behavior of your application and can be auto-tested against your application.
Why might you want this?
As a developer (or as a client engaging an external vendor), have you ever struggled to communicate across the divide? Have you wished for a common language that you could use to define not only functions, but interactions?
Or! Have you ever applied an update to some module or other – I'm looking at you, Media and WYSIWYG – then realized some time later that another part of your site broke as a result? Isn’t that terrible?
Something should be done! How about using Behat?
This session will cover:
What Behat is – and isn’t
How to use it to define requirements
How to use it to automate testing of your requirements
A live demo using Behat to test interactive site features!

Any plans to allow remote attendance like with Google+. I would love to learn more about Behat, but stuck in L.A.

We do broadcast our BDUG meetings using Google+. (Occasionally we have hiccups with the transmission.) We'll post the URL in this thread at the beginning of the meeting.
