Hey guys,
Thanks to everyone over at DrupalArt for helping make that site a reality! Since I started that site in June 2005 of last year, I've been wanting to integrate it more closely with Drupal.org. I think we'll attract a wider, more diverse audience here, and of course it makes my life easier since now I won't have to maintain the other site. Lots of good info such as configuration guides, newbie documentation, and ideas for module development came out of that site, thanks to everyone!
One of the common comments about Drupal is that it is a platform to build communities. Art and music communities have the reputation for being highly networked and resource saavy, and supremely organic. I have lots of ideas about how Drupal can be used as a tool for artists for building communities, personal websites, or for online art projects. Please share your ideas!

Hi
Thought I'd introduce myself. I run a small consulting firm in Wisconsin that is working mostly with Drupal. We've just signed a contract to do a web site redesign for a local nonprofit music venue - this is really exciting in the long run because among other things they have a whole lot of audio and video for past performances, much of which they ownr rights for. So it's going to be an interesting web site when it gets going. I'll probably be asking folks for some of the things that have worked for them.

Hi Steve,
Let us know how the project goes! Sounds exciting. I wish there were more local nonprofit music venues around ;)
