Our first meeting as a proper association. We'll be doing voting on director positions, organizing members for DrupalCamp, all the official stuff we need to do annually as an organization.

Hi folks,

In preparation for the AGM and the discussions surrounding DrupalCamp 2015 that will happen during the meeting, below is a list of comments/feedback on last years DrupalCamp:

  • Less Salesy presentations on the business tracks
  • Free is good
  • suggest 3 or 4 streams with smaller rooms
  • please provide at least a month notice to potential attendees
  • Title Sponsor - send people with skills that they sell, not just sales people (ex. cloud services devs,)
  • Venue is good (Ottawa Convention Centre - OCC)
  • paying for wifi is not a big deal...people are understanding of the costs
  • live twitter/BoF session display (large screen display)
  • paper signage of schedule on doors/on bulletins to compliment the digital signage
  • advertise outside of community
  • control of session timing
  • AC sucked
  • BoF’s need to improve
  • Suggest getting a Photographer (maybe student to increase their portfolio)

Hi, I tried to join in via Hangout but it said the Hangout was over already (by like 6:01pm)? Then it just tries to connect and eventually times out. Not a big deal for me, just letting you guys know in case you were expecting people over Hangout. Cheers.

Sorry this didn't work for you...we were on the Google Hangout throughout the whole meeting and no one connected. Not sure what happened there.

There will be more meetings to come, there was a lot discussed, but a hell of a lot more to discuss still.

I also tried to connect to the Google Hangout (but I gave up after a couple of attempts, so I can't say that it wasn't working the whole time). I have a video conference setup that seems to be more reliable and will try to remember to offer it next time. :)
