Thanks, Bob. I submitted a session proposal that was accepted. I left it rather vague, and the organizers didn't mind... anybody have anything they'd really like to hear about?

Excellent, Travis! I think the challenge is to figure out what is best for the audience - I think it is generally a 'deep dive' crowd but probably also not familiar with Drupal. Since Drupal 8 is still new to a lot of people, including many Drupalers, a walk-through of creating a module on D8 (making sure to use/highlight its new architectural technologies) could be a good basis. That leaves it open to make your "new" module do something really cool to demonstrate and get further into if the crowd desires it.

In a previous one, I did a session on Views, since that is a tool that wows people. The problem was that my session was poorly attended, and the few that showed up knew my subject better than I did. But I think that was because my session was in the final slot and overlapped with the final awards session.

Thanks for the feedback, Bob! I decided to capitalize on the combination of serious development interest with little Drupal experience and take an "evangelistic" approach. My session will be Drupal: Your New Professional Mentor, subtitled "How you can leverage Drupal's code and community to become a more competent, well-rounded professional." I'll leave time for Q&A for unrelated questions. I have a little Acquia schwag I'll bring with me. Please look me up if you're there!
