Learn how to create a drupal site on a VPS (virtual private system) host (like linode.com) using the command line and drush

Who is this session for?
You're a freelancer and you don't want to host your client sites on a shared hosting environment and have always been curious about drush. Also, if you've never used Drupal but want the no-frills, condensed version of how to get up and running without having to read the drupal.org documentation (yikes)

What will you learn?
- The 3 most used drush commands that speed up your workflow in addition to all the commands i run in the terminal to get drupal started (downloadable step by step guide provided to attendees after the session)
- How to create a new domain/subdomain on your VPS from start to finish (including restarting apache etc. If some of these terms don't sound familiar then this session is definitely for you)
- Some Linux server administration commands that are essential for any developer

Hi Daniel: I have a meeting conflict on the 14th and can't attend in person. Is it possible to have the meeting recorded? I'd love to see the presentation, open-floor Q and A, and the downloadable step-by-step guide. I've missed so many due to meetings, but would really like to be involved in this one.
