It is with deep regret that we inform you of Eric Brown’s (ericthelast) death. Eric died unexpectedly of a heart attack on Monday, January 6th, 2015. Eric was the cornerstone of the St. Louis user group. He was always the first to offer help to anyone that needed it, and believed strongly in making Drupal accessible to anyone that had interest. Each of us not only grieves at the passing of a tremendous individual but also for the loss his family suffers. A fund has been established for his children, donations can be made here.

This is incredibly sad news; Eric was most definitely the cornerstone of our community, and helped guide the community in our first DrupalCamp, stabilized our meeting space and MeetUp community, and was always so kind, generous, and willing to help with any Drupal problems.
He was a model community member, and he will be greatly missed.

How unfortunate. His family surely needs support in times like this. I am so sorry for your loss.
As for our first DrupalCamp, i don't know how much Eric was involved, but I am here to help in anyway I can going forward.
