I'm excited to welcome Dave Greenberg (http://drupal.org/user/17922) and Donald Lobo (http://drupal.org/user/12563) for a presentation on the CiviCRM Drupal module.

http://drupal.org/project/civicrm: CiviCRM is the first open source and freely downloadable constituent relationship management solution. CiviCRM is web-based, open source, internationalized, and designed specifically to meet the needs of advocacy, non-profit and non-governmental groups.

The Presentation

Donald and Dave have two different talks they can give. I've suggested that they spend 15-30 min on CiviCRM 101 and then ask for a show of hands from people who'd like to get into the Drupal Integration piece.


CiviCRM 101


Introductory session for folks who want to learn about CiviCRM's capabilities, how it integrates with Drupal, and see examples of how it's being used by a range of organizations. Specific topics will be driven by participant interest, but may include:

•    What's the value of integrating CRM software with Drupal?

•    CiviCRM Components: Contributions and Pledges, Event and Membership Management, Broadcast Email, Case Management, Grants

•    Whoʼs Using CiviCRM - some examples from the field

•    The CiviCRM project and community

•    Resources for learning more

CiviCRM / Drupal Integration


This session is designed for developers and techies who want to learn more about options for integrating CiviCRM with Drupal. Topics may include:

•    Drupal user / CiviCRM contact - what's the connection?

•    Integrating CiviEvents with Drupal Calendar

•    Using Views2 to expose "all kinds" of CiviCRM data

•    Connecting Drupal roles to CiviCRM membership and / or groups

•    CiviCRM and Organic Groups integration

General BDUG Info

BDUG is the Berkeley Drupal Users Group. This group is open to everyone
in the area who is interested in learning, teaching or networking about
Drupal. We meet monthly on the UC Berkeley campus.

When: Once a month, over lunchtime, on the 3rd or 4th Thursday of the month.

Where: We are in the process of finding a consistent location for 2010...
