Been lurking a bit on the site, figured it was time to take the plunge. :-)
I came to the Phoenix area in September 2008 to start a new life as a web developer. I used to be a university biochemistry lecturer, but I've gotten over that. I stated by migrating an existing site from ColdFusion to PHP/MySQL and adding to its capabilities. I'm pretty new to Drupal, having started trying to add even more new functions with Drupal since Oct. 2009. I've gotten over that initial two-month feeling of beating my head against the wall. We hope to do a beta-testing launch by the end of February.
I attended the "Do It With Drupal" conference in New Orleans, which was fantastic!
I frequent several of the local web development/Drupal/CMS meetup.com groups in the area, and look forward to learning and sharing information.
