After a number of monthly meetings we now have an official DrupalCamp Bristol Committee.
We’ve been very busy with all the details and we aim to have an official announcement out within the next few weeks surrounding the actual event, but I wanted to take this chance to announce the official committee and to make everyone aware that the committee is now closed. This decision has been made to provide an appropriate structure and enforce decision making procedures where required. New members can now only be invited to join the committee if one of the existing members withdraws.
We are of course still looking for volunteers closer to the event along with sponsors and speakers. Without these people the event can’t be made possible! More about that below...
The committee is made up of 9 members who’ve all given up considerable amounts of time to help organise the first official DrupalCamp Bristol this year:
Rick Donohoe (Committee Chair) - Microserve
Mark Pavlitski - Microserve
Jon Hadley - Positive
Tom Metcalfe - Black Label Web Design
Oliver Davies - Drupal Association
Adrian Bateman - Polynya
Emily Coward - Nomensa
Mike Dodd - Mitkom Ltd
Rich Saddington - Sift Digital
We should also make a special mention to Chris Hall who put a lot of time and effort in at the beginning but had to pull out of the committee unfortunately due to other commitments.
If anybody does want to get involved in anyway, be it as a volunteer, a sponsor or a speaker then please get in touch via the DrupalCamp Bristol Twitter account - https://twitter.com/DrupalCampBris
