Q re webservices rest settings for API function

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Dear Drupal friends- seeking your help and expertise if please you can help! I am trying to create a rest server /plugin from an SDK, so that my site can receive analytics of viewers responses to films (the analytics come from the cloud/browser) as a rest server and feed. I’m really new at this so am trying to figure out a lot, and it’s a steep learning curve!

I have a sample php module (from the SDK) which seems to set up the cloud service, eg to logins to the cloud etc . So I will upload that as a custom module.
And the SDK also gives me a API reference document with a long list of the ‘functions’ and ‘events’ that are supported (to give me the analytics).
So from my understanding I now need to add the functions to the Drupal webservices rest server, so that I can query the analytics, then setup the feed from this webservices rest server into google charts.

Eg one of the API references (which I want to use is);
Float AffGetEBScore()
Description:
Returns EB level of the user.
Parameters:
Returns:
EB level (0.0 to 1.0).

I have set up the wsclient. Now where/How do I input/ set these functions and responses in the Drupal webservices rest server settings? This API seems to be simple details to enter (just the name, and returns) but there are more settings on the wsclient. Eg how should this API reference be inputted in the wsclient settings ‘operations’, ‘data types’ and ‘parameters’ (with sub settings ‘data type’, ‘name’ and default value’ , ‘result type’ and ‘result label’? I presume that I first need to create a 'float' field in my node called 'AffGetEBScore' and then somewhere in the wsclient settings I enter ‘AffGetEBScore()’ ? How do I enter 'response'?

I’m a bit confused- everyone's a first timer at something once!- and feel its likely simple when you know how… Any guidance you can give me would be very very much appreciated!

Thanks so much in advance.
