We are a group of women drupalers or friends of women in drupal who would like to see an increase in women participation at events and in effect giving them an equal opportunity to connect and collaborate with other drupalers world-over. Our aim is to galvanize the many similar women communities globally.
It all began when some of our awesome drupalers in India, women in particular, were unable to attend various drupal events and meetups as actively as they would have liked to, citing a range of reasons from multi-tasking responsibilities to wanting to spend the non-working weekends with family.
With this initiative we wish to have women in drupal represented at all major drupal events, and these attendees in turn sharing their experiences with the rest of the community. Beyond events too, we would encourage our members to share and give back to the community, both in Drupal terms and beyond.
Some of what we have mind include:
-
Discuss event learnings with the community.
-
Sponsor women in drupal to attend major events.
-
Organise workshops and trainings in newer locations.
-
Solve some of the issues women face in drupal and outside.
All along, we would like to have fun and celebrate life together. Being an open community we would welcome one and all to get involved.

He will also talk about the major problems that people were facing in working with Drupal 7 and what the community has done to make it better. This webinar will show - in both practical examples and on a broader scale - why Drupal 8 will make peace between backenders and frontenders.

Dear Drupal friends- seeking your help and expertise if please you can help! I am trying to create a rest server /plugin from an SDK, so that my site can receive analytics of viewers responses to films (the analytics come from the cloud/browser) as a rest server and feed. I’m really new at this so am trying to figure out a lot, and it’s a steep learning curve!
I have a sample php module (from the SDK) which seems to set up the cloud service, eg to logins to the cloud etc . So I will upload that as a custom module.

Drupal 8 is taking the same path as other MVC (Model View Controller) frameworks like Ruby and Symfony, which makes it easier for developers to make an easy entry. Much of the Drupal code which seemed alien before now seems familiar to developers with experience in other frameworks.

In this webinar, the speaker will touch base with various pain points that hit us on a day-to-day basis while working with Drupal 7 and introduce the features and improvements of Drupal 8 that will help you overcome these pain points and make your life easier.
