Share what mentoring successes and challenges you have had. Do you want to get involved doing mentoring but not sure what to do? Want to help Drupal mentoring be successful? Join us. All help is welcome.

We need:
people who can help organize us,
developers to help us with d.o issues that will effect contributor or mentor experience,
planners to help with events,
... lots of different skills.

Mentor Meta meetings are once a month, usually on the first saturday of the month, at UTC 20:30. To find the meeting ping YesCT or another mentor in IRC or check the mentor google calendar for the google hangout link. See https://www.drupal.org/core-mentoring for the calendar.

There are so many different religious holidays I dont think we can schedule around them. But we will take notes and post them here, for anyone who misses the meeting.

There isn't really anything I wanted you to add to the agenda, but I wanted to see if I could start re-attending these again.

I've been mulling over in the back of my head the idea that maybe we could propose either
1) a time slot on IRC to mentor in Spanish
2) or maybe translate some of the mentee materials into Spanish.

This comes about because, over the last few months, I've been spending a lot of time mentoring non-English speakers. Or at least people for whom English is not their native tongue. And it related to the momentum we have going coming out of drupalcon bogata.

The information given for mentors is incomplete and confusing. If the onramp is difficult and unclear, it can discurage potential new mentors.

I was unable to import the Google Calendar URL from https://www.drupal.org/core-office-hours

Sorry, 7ss54o2foktlc8b75d1gest4do@group.calendar.google.com is not a valid URL.

But I was able to import the iCalendar feed into Google Calendar after saving the basic.ics file (maybe it could have a more descriptive name ?)

I do not see any google hangout link; will the calendar feed update?

I updated the instructions for adding the calendar to Google Calendar: https://www.drupal.org/core-office-hours

basic.ics is the default file name. But, instead of downloading the file, you can use your calendar app's "subscribe to calendar feed" functionality.
