Nonprofit help with Salesforce?

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Hello Twin Cities folks!

I'd like to learn more about Salesforce. Do you know anyone who offers Salesforce mentoring or training to nonprofit organizations in the Twin Cities?

Enjoy Creativity has qualified for the "free" nonprofit Salesforce license, but I have no idea where to start. It's kind of a big deal to set up correctly, and the flexibility and learning curve sounds analogous to Drupal.

I'm hopeful it can streamline our sales and client-management, but I'm not 100% convinced it's something that will be super helpful at the size of company we are. At a minimum, I'd like to learn more so that I can give better suggestions to our clients.

Thanks in advance!

Nonprofits and Salesforce

Hi David.

I didn't see this until now. There are lots of training opportunities on-line. In addition, the local Twincities Non-profit Users Group meets and shares monthly. The last one was May 28.

You might want to get on the TC Non-profit Users Group (a Private group, just request admittance): https://success.salesforce.com/_ui/core/chatter/groups/GroupProfilePage?...

Most non-profits use the Salesforce Foundation's Non-profit Starter Pack (NPSP), which is free: http://www.salesforcefoundation.org/help/nonprofitstarterpack/

The learning curve is not as steep as Drupal in my opinion, but it's a huge product so it helps to have an idea of what problem you might want to solve.

Regards,

Jim Hendrickson

Thank you Jim! I've actually been a member of the group for a few months now, but the dates have never worked out for me.
