E-commerce-- issues with file module, quickfile doesn't work at all...

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

hi all.
I have a drupal 5.1 site with the latest E-Commerce installed. I have set up the files product type, created a test file, and paid my $13.00 for it C.O.D. so I can get past processing. I've gone in and reviewed the transactions....

I just can't figure out how to get a durn link to my file... I don't get it in email, I can't access it through my files...

I would use quickfile, but that sure doesn't work at all for me... and ultimately I'll need to use something that integrates directly with the e-commerce module.

Please someone, help walk me through setting this up. I can deal with re-coding it so that the user can download the file immediately after paying for it (only anonymous users in this store, so the "my files" idea is totally busted for me.

Thanks for your help.

Files and ecommerce

Craig,

its a known issue. I dont remember if it was already fixed. go to http://drupal.org/project/issues/ecommerce (all issues from ecommerce) and on "advanced search", select only the "file" component. There are probably some other guys on the same situation and some help there (if its not already corrected).

regards,

My hunch

By default the COD does mark transactions as paid (from the admin backend side). The transaction is still probably pending there, preventing access to the file...

My guess would also be with blakehall. I did quite a bit of testing and updating to the file module for the 3 release and closed most of the bugs attached to it.

I believe we pushed the code that provided the status of the file purchase on the my file page though to help with this confusion. If nothing is showing up there then it is likely a problem elsewhere in the system and we're probably going to have to take a closer look.
