Any node.js experts out there who could help us?

We encourage users to post events happening in the community to the community events group on https://www.drupal.org.

Hi,

I run a small nonprofit in Vermont dedicated to helping kids learn how to express themselves well. We are nearing completion of the beta version of our new teen writing community and have one last hope and wish: That we can make Statuses (Facebook-style Statuses in D6) refresh in real time on both ends of the spectrum -- author and reader.

We think node.js may be the ticket to do this, but this is way out of our knowledge league. We have a small budget (we are a nonprofit, after all) but would greatly appreciate it if anyone out there could help set up node.js to work with statuses. Node.js is all set up on the server. Time is of the essence. Can you help?</>

Please contact me. We WILL share all that is accomplished. We will also be happy to document all that you do and share it with the Drupal community. AND we will share, on an ongoing basis, our experience with teen users.

We have an interesting use-case scenario that is quite exciting, but won't bog this thread down with it. But if we're right it really could channel teens' natural affinity for live chat into more substantive interaction and discussion.

Thanks so much.
